Planer / Thicknesser AD 160
The AD 160 has been designed to provide accuracy and surface finish similar
to the AD 280 but on a smaller scale. At only 17 kg = 38 pounds the AD 160
is ideal for transportation to the work-site and convenient storage when not in
use. The 1.2 hp motor provides ample power for a nearly 3 mm = 1/8 in. depth
of cut. Two reversible and disposable steel knives and 15,000 cuts per minute
assure a smooth, level finish. The AD 160 requires no conversion ­ so planing
and thicknessing can be accomplished simultaneously. With the optional
tilting guide fence, the AD 160 also provides the unique capability to perform
jointing operations which are often required to professionally complete the
woodworking project.

The top planer surface allows smooth finishing of wood up to
160 mm = 6 11/16 in. wide and the thicknesser accepts 120 mm = 4 5/8 in.
stock. With a 655 mm = 25 3/4 in. long planing table ease of workpiece
handling is substantially improved. All of the features of the AD 160 make
this a truly unique and versatile portable planer.
