ZK 115 carpenter's skew notch, lap joint and tenon
cutting machine
Until now, making skew notches or birdsmouth cuts, as they
are
commonly called, was a trial-and-error process. The ZK
115 puts
an end to this: simply mark the center line of the cut across
the
beams or rafters positioned side by side. Angle and depth
of cut
can be accurately set for the cutter head. Now the cut can
be made
with precision in one operation across a whole series of beams
or
rafters. No tiresome readjustment and setting are necessary.
The
integral friction clutch ensures that the cutter head starts
up smoothly
and safely. The 5 7/8 x 4 1/2 in. (150 x 115 mm) standard
skew notch
cutter head can also be used for lap joints or tenons up to
a depth
of 1 1/16 in. (27 mm). Optional accessories include an additional
8 1/2 x 1 9/16 in. (216 x 40 mm) lap joint or tenon cutter
head as
well as a guide rail with extension. The ZK
115 L/K can also be
used with the MAFELL timber
crafter ABA.
