HSB Percussion drill The
new high-performance HSB two-speed percussion
drill from Mafell offers electronic speed control
that operates steplessly between 150 and 2250
rpm. Given that speed and torque are critical
variables in the efficient drilling of different
materials, the drillīs torque presettings are a very
useful feature. The Mafell HSB easily executes percussion
drilling in concrete, stone and brick as well
as conventional drilling in wood, steel or aluminium.
Intelligent control electronics adjust the speed in
response to the load. Besides it use as a power or
hammer drill, the HSB
can also be used to drive screws with commercially
available bits. It can easily drive both large-diameter
self-tapping chipboard and other special screws.
Machine taps can also be chucked for use at low
speeds. The HSB
complies with ergonomic design requirements and rests
easily in the hand, so that the user can always be sure
of a reliable grip. A friction clutch protects the
motor and gear unit against overloading. The 43 mm (1
11/16 in). Steel collar allows the drill to be mounted
in a drill stand, such as the Mafell BG 400. It can also be used in the ABA timber crafter. The spindle
lock facilitates changing bits and removing the
chuck. The quickaction chuck is also compatible with
the hammer action. Two-speed motor power and
rugged construction round off the
specification of this professional
drill.
